Growing company wants to project uniformity

A new name for D&D Mechatronics and HYB

BOXMEER – What do you do when your company grows and develops? When multiple business units join, and even a development subsidiary is added? Over the past decades, D&D Mechatronics has come into full bloom, but noticed that its current name no longer covers what it does. There’s no regret about that – after all, it’s a sign of success. But it does mean it’s time for a new name, one that projects uniformity. Curious? It will be launched on 1 January 2020.

D&D Mechatronics BV was founded in 2002. At the Sterckwijck business park, 35 specialists work at the intersection of electronics and mechanics, particularly in combining the two. And it’s precisely in that area that many developments have taken place in recent years.

D&D Mechatronics produces custom, client-specific work: test equipment, PCB prototypes, carriers and mechanical components for the electronics industry and medical applications. Other clients operate in telecommunications, automotive, security, aerospace, and the semiconductor and home automation industries. “We were soon doing more than just mechatronics alone,” says director and founder Piet van Duijnhoven. “New disciplines joined our company, such as our development subsidiary HYB, which focuses on product development. There, we not only manufacture hardware and software, but also support new developments and solutions. That particular part really took off.”

Connections under one roof

And all of that under one roof. Hence the new name, with which the company can now present all these business units in a unified way. “Quality goes without saying, so we’re placing strong emphasis on our close-knit team spirit,” says Piet van Duijnhoven. “We work like a family, tackling challenges internally as a team. We can solve everything ourselves. Our product is tough and technical, but the way it comes about is ‘warm’. We’re constantly making connections: within our team, with our clients, and within projects. The new name will soon perfectly reflect that.”
